Maintenance Support Facility

Dean Kurtz Construction finished the Maintenance Support Facility at the Sanford Underground Research Facility in the spring of 2021. Sanford brought us the concept of creating an all in one research facility that could be built from the ground up at their current location. After months of strategic planning and getting a blank canvas to start building, DKC was finally able to implement our over 50 years of experience in general contracting and begin building this facility. The SURF is now fully operational and has begun their work into researching the soil and minerals from the Homestake mine.
