July has been a busy and exciting month at Dean Kurtz Construction.
Last week, the company was awarded a $4.9 million contract for the Elk Vale Lift Station in Rapid City. Construction includes the Elk Vale Lift Station building and site with appurtenant mechanical and electrical systems. Just today, DKC found out our joint venture, GBK Joint Venture, was the apparent low bidder on the Oglala Sioux Tribe Veterans Cemetery. This is approximately a $5 million project. The project consists of site and architectural development and infrastructure improvements of approximately 16 acres located 5 miles east of Kyle, SD. Development includes construction of an Administrative and Maintenance Facility as well as a committal shelter, site grading, road building, stormwater improvements, site infrastructure to support facility, sanitary systems, potable water systems, security and ornamental fencing, installation of premanufactured crypts, various site elements and memorials, landscape improvements, irrigation, well development, site reclamation, and other various elements. We are excited about the new work and are looking forward to working with owners, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other colleagues as these projects get underway! GO TEAM!!
